RIVERCARE

RiverCare is a community led environmental improvement project run by Keep Britain Tidy and funded by Anglian Water, across their region from Essex up to Lincolnshire. They support communities to adopt a stretch of river and hold litter picks throughout the year.

 

The Sincil Bank RiverCare Group held their first event on Saturday May 7th 2016 and the Litter Pick group had been holding events since 2015. As time went on it was decided that these two groups would join forces and now monthly RiverCare and Litter Picks are held.

Anyone is welcome to come and volunteer. All we ask is that you wear sensible footwear and clothing to suit the weather and follow some simple rules.  All equipment is provided. Children are welcome if accompanied by an adult. Refreshments are provided.

 

This a great way of meeting new people while helping to keep the Sincil Bank Area a cleaner place to live as well as helping to protect the wonderful wildlife that can be seen along the drain. For the Sincil Bank RiverCare and Litter Pick dates please click, here.
