Sincil Community Land Trust (Sincil CLT) are delighted to announce that St Andrews Garden, situated on St Andrews Close, is now open for local people to enjoy.
Over the past months, Sincil CLT have completed consultation with local people about how the site should look, have volunteered many hours to clear the overgrown patch, have worked with contractors to add pathways and seating to the site, and have developed plans for wildflower planting to attract nature.
As part of a recent EFL Day of Action, Sincil CLT also enlisted the help of first-team Lincoln City FC players to complete the final tasks needed to open the Garden to the public. Alex Palmer and Anthony Scully lent a hand in moving waste into newly created compost areas, as well as helping with the planting of three ornamental cherry trees at the garden to support The National Trust initiative to plant circles of blossom trees in cities across England.
If anyone that would like to volunteer to help with the ongoing gardening and maintenance at St Andrews Garden, and/or help with the opening and closing of the park, please contact Alice Carter, Sincil CLT Secretary, on alice.carter@lincolncityfoundation.co.uk or call 07736 900343.
Thank you for your support so far and we hope that you will enjoy visiting St Andrews Garden.
