Community Organising is the work of bringing people together to take action around their common concerns and overcome social injustice. Community Organisers reach out and listen, connect, and motivate people to build their collective power.

Lincoln City Foundation's Community Organising team has been working in the Sincil Bank area of Lincoln since 2013. The team continue to identify what people care strongly about in their community through conversations and relationship building, and seek to support resident led change through the Place Based Social Action project.

Place Based Social Action is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund and the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). The Sincil Bank neighbourhood is one of only ten areas nationally to receive the funding.
